Cellulite Treatment

With the advancement of science, there has been a number of cellulite treatments made available to the masses in the never-ending quest to reduce cellulite.  Here is a short list of cellulite treatments that are currently available.

  • Cellulite Creams: The most popular, affordable, yet effective way to treat cellulite.  A cream is massaged into the skin daily in order to treat the cellulite.
  • Dietary Supplements: Various ingredients, such as ginkgo biloba, are marketed as cellulite treatments.  However, there are no clinical studies backing any of these ingredients.
  • Massage Treatments: Very popular in Latin countries, such as Costa Rica, Colombia, and Brazil, this requires pulling, stretching, and squeezing of the affected area.  Massage treatments do work when done in succession, however the affect is often lost when the massages stop.  Massage treatments have been a great supplement when the subject has used a cellulite cream daily.
  • Laser Therapy: There are laser treatments that cost north of several thousand dollars that people have been using in order to treat cellulite.  Like massage treatment, the best effects are seen when the treatment is constant.
  • Wraps: Herbal wraps are commonly found in spa’s and other “weight management” centers.  They do provide brief relief like the above treatments, but there is no clinical data reporting significant help treating cellulite on a long term basis.

The best way to aid any of these cellulite treatments is to work out with resistance.  Keeping the muscles active and toned go a long way in fighting the battle of cellulite.  Of course, in order to keep a physical fitness routine, it’s important that you supplement that by eating healthy.  By keeping a solid nutrition and physical regimen, you can enhance the effect of any cellulite treatment you choose to employ as a strategy.
